4. My View story: Cocoliso
- What is an adjective?
An adjective tells us about a person, animal, or thing.
(Examples: big, small, tall, happy)
- Rules for -er / -est
For most short adjectives → add -er / -est
- tall → taller → tallest
- small → smaller → smallest
Rule 1: y → i + er / est
- happy → happier → happiest
- funny → funnier → funniest
Rule 2: 1-1-1 Rule (one syllable(sound) +one vowel + one consonant → double the last consonant)
- big → bigger → biggest
- hot → hotter → hottest
Rule 3: Ending with e (just add -r / -st)
- nice → nicer → nicest
- large → larger → largest
Rule 4: Irregular words (change completely)
- good → better → best
- bad → worse → worst
