The midterm exam is approaching. Please review the scope below to prepare well.

 

Oral Exam

Describing pictures in complete sentences.

 

Listening and written Exams will cover all content from Week 3 to Week 8. (Week 9 is not tested.)

My View Stories and Practice Book

The following stories from our My View curriculum will be included in the exam:

1.       The Abenaki p.140-160, 167-168                      Practice Book p. 41-46, 49-50

2.       Anna’s Surprise p.174-201, 209-210            Practice Book p. 54-59, 62-63

3.       The Garden of Happiness p.322-351, 359-360   Practice Book p. 96-101,104-105

Please review each story’s genre, key elements,  vocabulary, and comprehension questions.

Exam Format

l   Multiple Choice: Vocabulary recognition and story comprehension.

l   Short Answer: Definitions and questions about the main characters and story details.

 

Vocabulary (Week 3-8)

Students should know:

l   Spelling and definitions matching

l   Usage in sentences

l   Recognition in a sentence or by picture.

 

Phonics and Conventions

 

l  oi, oy, ou, ow	l  Suffixes: -ly, -ful, -less, -er, -or
